Dear athletes! Thank you very much for all your registrations and special thanks to all Team managers who are helping us to organize that great competition! Next steps : Preliminary more detailed Time table will be published till August 15th ! We do expect preliminary start lists around August 22nd. Final Time table will be on 25th August, final start lists on 26th of August ! Enjoy and welcome to Varaždin! We are waiting for you!
Marko Sluga, M90 – 3 new Balkan records!

Slovenian athletes organized meeting in Ptuj for the 90th birthday of a great athlete Marko Sluga. He did 3 new BR : High jump 0.94, shot put 6.53 and Hammer 20.19! In Izmir, Abdullah Unay (M70) run new BR on 300 m hurdles! Congrats guys! More to come in Varaždin!
Few new Balkan records!

Just 40 days before Bamacs, we refreshed BR lists with some new records. Ozkan Akgul (TUR,M35) on 800 m, Tea Faber (CRO W35 ) 2000 m steeple and 90+ Greek Team : Fota Stamatia (W90 )-1500 m, K. Chatziemanouil (M95) -100m,200m and P. Dousis (M90 ) in the 5000 m.
Yipsi Moreno & Tina Šutej with new BR!

EA Team championships in Maribor brought two new BR. Yipsi Moreno, W40 (ex Cuban, now Albania) broked Hammer's throw record with a fantastic 67.96. Tina Šutej (W35) equaled BR in Pole vault with 4.70!
Katantonakis & Šoba, new Balkan records!

Antonis Katantonakis (M45) equaled the Balkan record on 100m with 11.52 on meeting in Ostrava. Albert Šoba (M65) improved his BR on 300m hurdles to 46.39 during the Slovenian Championships in Celje! Varaždin will host the Croatian Championships on 5th of July!
Bledar MESI, new BR – 3000 m steeplechase!

Balkan champion from last Bamacs in Bar - Bledar MESI (M40, ALB) did a new Balkan record on 3000 m steeplechase during the Albanian Championship for seniors (!) held in Elbasan. The record is now 9:45.56 !
Bobos & Daftsou with new BR !

Vasile Bobos (M40, Romania) ran the 200 m last weekend in Craiova, finishing in an excellent 22.24! Anna Daftsou (W50, Greece) improved her Balkan record in the 400 m — now 65.84! Both are strong candidates for gold in Varaždin.
Greek athletes with five new Balkan records

Preparing for Varaždin, Greek athletes show a very good form. Andreaoglu (M50) improved his BR in pentathlon, Omiridis (M80) did a new BR in pentathlon, but also in long jump – an excellent 3.63m. Katantonakis (M45) ran 200m in a fantastic 23.16, and Gianadakis (M45) 100m in an impressive 11.52. Wow!

Since May 15th registrations for BAMACS for all Balkan athletes are open. Please contact Your Country team manager by August the 5th at the latest. Team managers have also all the information about accommodation in the Student Campus in Varaždin. Welcome to the Baroque City of Varaždin!
